This continued into the year 2010 and the sales were quite satisfactory. Those purchasing this publication are not limited to lawyers and law Students but include present and retired public officials and the general public.

Welcome to  Legal Aid Commission Sri Lanka

Legal assistance to the vulnerable groups of a country constitutes an important segment of the administration of justice. Legal Aid Commission of Sri Lanka (LAC) is the foremost amongst the various other institutions and organizations that cater to this important requirement, mainly due to its sustainability and stability.

During the past years it has grown from having only 11 Centers island-wide to 84 Centers as at present. The Legal Aid Commission (LAC) of Sri Lanka established in the year 1978 by Law No 27 of 1978. The Commission has at all times strived to make Equal Access to Justice for All in Sri Lanka a reality.
